Bowdoin architecture and structures from reunion weekend

I took quite a few architectural pictures at my Bowdoin reunion.  We had beautiful days and the buildings are so picturesque.  Below is one I took in the evening on the well-lite quad.  The moon made it a must-take picture!  A gallery of about 30 images is here:

Bowdoin Reunion pictures from the first weekend in June

I don't generally have a lot of pictures of me, for the obvious reason that it's hard to take pictures of yourself.  (Although it is getting easier to do so, with some cameras sporting hindged LCDs that allow you to hold the camera out in front of you and accurately aim at yourself.  There's even a camera made with LCD screens on both sides of the camera.)

Anyway, Laurie took a few pictures which are below.  The reason I am standing in front of Hyde Hall in one of them is that is myfreshman year dorm.

A few images along the Maine coast last weekend

I took a few pictures along the Maine coast last Friday on our way to a college reunion.  The first was taken in York.  The third one was taken in Kennebunk.  The second one was taken somewhere inbetween.

The second image shows the President George Bush estate.

Temperature dropped 24 degrees in 30 minutes today!

When I left the office today at 4:30 the air temp was 90F and it was very humid.  Thunderstorm weather!  The sky was hazy but no clouds in sight.  As I drove west, first through Bedford, the temp dropped to 86F and when I got to Carlisle at 4:45 it was down to 82F and a front of storm clouds was moving toward me fast.  Laurie called and warned me about the front and let me know that she was without power at home.  This picture was taken in Carlisle center just as the rain started.

During the final 15 minutes of driving home, the temp dropped fast, down to 66F!  That's a drop of 24 degrees in 30 minutes.
